you know look I'm I'm a fan again bush I I'll give him credit for candor and consistency hot

he's honest about it and and and I think we're going to have a a clear straight up debate about what what's the right direction for the Republican Party to go and watch the right direction for the country can what about that because in

looking at at the records most of the candidates have little niche that they can be hit with fun you know position

changes you actually don't have many and I'll say that I look at your record pretty closely and Jeb

bush doesn't because he stands by you know even the most controversial things do you believe he deserves credit for that well

I I think it is important for someone to stand by what they believe and and you know what I've tried to do in the Senate has been real simple it's been tell the truth and

do what I said I would do if I'm with you I'm really with Thea and if I'm not with the I'm really not with the ana and I think people respect that obviously

the GOP base on the subject of immigration which you've been passionate about yourself what he said to me was I I present for example on what

you know when you were governor of Florida you supported in situation tuition rates for the children of illegal immigrants and he said look what

are you gonna do with a kid who happens to be here illegally thanks to his parents who was valedictorian of his high school and

can't go to college without that rate you're going to say no and the way he put it to me was that there's a point at which we are over

the line you have to show those kids some respect what's your answer to that well you know there are a lot awful lot of candidates in the twenty sixteen field who have supported amnesty or have gone back and forth on the issue not

my position has been consistent and clear I think amnesty is wrong but I think it is unfair this is I don't think it's a benefit for an illegal immigrant child

state tuition to to students who are here illegally that that comes at the expense of

American citizens art comes at the expense of the legal immigrants who followed the rules to come here you know you know there's there's a finite number of slots and

a finite number of dot dot colors and yet often the people to get left behind in this immigration debate are

legal immigrants are Pete my dad who in nineteen fifty seven fled kill they came on a student visa came

here legally and I think most American people outside of Washington agree

that we need to secure the borders we need to stop illegal immigration amnesties wrong he says that you

and and but that amnesty's wrong and and this is where %HESITATION you know I I disagree with that many twenty sixteen candidates who have embraced a pathway to citizenship common

do I believe we should repeal every single word of common core and and the reason is simple I think education is

far too important for it to be governed by unelected bureaucrats in Washington it should be at

the state level but it ever at the local but it is the response to that is that it is like it that governors got together to to

force states to adopt common core standards dnmt if they don't want to be a part of it well
