Bernie Sanders On The Opposition

now without going into any great lengths you actually have been books written about this I took office with

eleven out of the thirteen members of the city council also the Democrats and Republicans in the very very strong opposition to my agenda and

trust if you think that the Republicans have been obstructionist the president Obama you ain't seen nothing with what happened in my first year as mayor of

the city of Berlin %HESITATION but what happened in this is also a lesson that I've never forget why doing what we could do despite

the people who are obstruction and the other lesson that I will never forget is that the year following when I ran for reelection we

have almost doubled the voter turn almost double the voter turnout from what it had been when I first want and

the lesson the I will never forget what I believe is that when you stand up for people and you keep your promise people
