Fight for Our Veterans

as chairman of the Senate Veterans Committee I want to thank of many many people for helping me %HESITATION

on behalf of our veterans that includes Majority Leader Reid who has been so helpful throughout sort of his Murray Blumenthal Heinrich prior job in Berkeley Wall

seeking and Casey I suspect all of left out some I want to thank my Heuer a state the Veterans Committee Steve

Robertson Dahlia malandros Travis Murphy Catherine Manet cotton than haste Elizabeth Austin Carlos Fuentes and

valid thing a Rebecca Thomond Jason being Shonda Jackson shadow Lori and rough yelled and

there are names they know who they are and I thank them very very much well Mister president as I have indicated earlier this

legislation is not Bernie Sanders's legislation this is legislation that by and large columns from

obligation to list so what the veterans of Americans there to veterans of our country was saying about

their problems and their needs and how we might go full and that's what I and others on the committee do we

look and that is the reason why this legislation is being supported by virtually every

veterans organization in the United States of America representing millions and millions and

millions of veterans and I want to thank for their support not only for their support but for their help in craft this

legislation the American Legion the veterans of foreign wars the disabled American veterans the Jewish war veterans the

Vietnam veterans of America paralyzed veterans of America the Iraq and Afghanistan veterans of America gold

so why student veterans of America the airforce sergeants association the American ex prisoners of war the

association of the United States Navy the commission officers association of U. S. public health service the

National Guard association of the U. S. you're listening association National Guard of the US the fleet reserve association the

marine colleague the marine corps reserve association the military offices of America association the

retired enlisted association the American military retirees association the national coalition for homeless veterans the

national association for state veterans homes and many many other veterans organization thank you very much for

your support for this legislation so the president it is no secret that Congress today is

extremely partisan and to a significant degree dysfunctional that is why the

we can't address those problems and the American people a profoundly discussed with what we do and in fact with

what we do not and this president I had hoped from the bottom of my heart that at least on this issue the

need to protect and defend the veterans of this country and their family those
