Carly Fiorina's message to the NRA's Annual Meeting

hello this is Carly Fiorina thanks to each and everyone of you for supporting the NRA and

our right to bear arms I also want to thank the NRA board Wayne lapierre and Chris Cox for

their leadership my husband is the gun owner in our house he even managed to get his concealed carry permit in California for

those of you from Texas where I was born a freedom loving state you cannot imagine that

bureaucratic nightmare luckily we now live in Virginia he got his concealed carry there too reporters

have often asked me detailed questions about what I've hunted and asked me to list my guns and

here is what I tell I support the second amendment and the NRA not because I'm a hunter or even a skeet shooter I'm

I ever have to I support the second amendment and the right of gun owners like me and my husband because

it is our god given right and it is our constitutional right we are not alone even Americans who are not members of the NRA know

that when government takes away our guns we are headed down a dangerous path too many people in government are willing to give away our rights when it is politically

the backing for the tactical advantage the vote in front of the the press coverage about the they failed to see the principle at stake or

what is truly broken in our system we know our government must be re imagine the bureaucratic monster our government has become is not simply inefficient or

work against the interests of the people the potential of the people of America is being crushed by the weight of

the government of America the rights and freedoms and liberties guaranteed by

a hundred and forty four years later you know we have everything we need to make this time America's

greatest nation the world has ever known I hope you all have a wonderful celebration of our American values I
